VIVO Shrub: The Drinking Vinegar You Actually Want to Drink 

VIVO’s Lambrusco vinegar is naturally bright, fruity, and smooth — so there’s no need for the heavy sugar most shrubs rely on. The result is a cleaner, fresher take on a classic drinking vinegar that’s good enough to drink on its own or mixed with sparkling water. 

 

🫐 Ingredients 

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen berries (blackberry, cherry, or raspberry work beautifully)
  • ½ cup VIVO Lambrusco vinegar
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey (optional — VIVO already provides natural sweetness)
  • Optional: a small sprig of rosemary, basil, or mint 

 

🥄 Method 

  1. Combine fruit and optional honey in a bowl or jar. Let it sit for 1–2 hours until the fruit releases its juices.
  2.  Add VIVO and lightly muddle to bring everything together.
  3.  Strain through a fine sieve, bottle, and refrigerate. Keeps about 10–14 days.

🍹 To Serve 

  • Pour 1 ounce of your VIVO Shrub over ice.
  • Top with 4–5 ounces of sparkling water (or prosecco, gin, or vodka for a cocktail).
  • Garnish with a slice of fruit or a sprig of fresh herb.
